UPDATE: Sorry! This class has been postponed. However if you are interested in this class or Game Not Included's other offerings, sign up for updates and I'll keep you in the loop as I work to make this experience the best it can be!
This is a weekly digital arts class for world building through concept art. You will learn to draw from your personal experiences and perspective to create visual motifs that inspire characters, environments, and stories set in a world of your own design.
Every week we will focus on exploring one aspect of your world. Classes are delivered in a live-stream format with a warm-up and brainstorming session followed by project templates and demo files for you to dissect and learn from as you see fit throughout the week.
By the end of class you will have a world of concept art pieces setting the scene for your next story.
What You Get
This class is a fully immersive remote digital art experience. Every week at 7pm EST, tune in to our dedicated class Discord channel for a crash course into a new subject in your world. We'll start each lesson off with a warm-up to get you thinking, then move into a short lecture about the topic at hand. Next we'll get some hands-on time with our ideas in an open art-jam style brainstorming session. Finally the end of class will leave some time for sharing your work and giving feedback to others.
Class will be held on Discord, and for the duration of the session you'll have access to chat and collaborate with your peers. This class is a community-based experience and learning alongside others is part of the experience. You'll grow to know each others' work and help overcome technical issues by sharing useful tutorials and forums with one another.

This is a nine week remote world-building class! We use game design principles as a way to structure the world through the eyes of a "player one" character. At the end of the class you will have an established world to use as a base for storytelling, game design, or any other creative endeavour that needs a unique setting.
